What do we do?

Men on the Mountain's goal is to educate others on the effect of masculinity in today’s society. We believe that education of men and for men is key to preventing violence, high risk behavior, alcohol or drug abuse and improving the overall climate of college men at Appalachian.

While the group does their own self-education and self-reflection every week, they are also available to conduct presentations on various topics of masculinity and patriarchy. If you are interested in a presentation please visit our presentation request page as you can review a description of possible presentations.

How can I join?

If you are interested in joining the group and being more involved with education of peers please come to one of our weekly meetings or contact the group advisor James Lorello at lorelloja@appstate.edu.
